Helping Men to Discover New Ways to Grow

1

FMO VISION STATMENT

For Men Only are mini sermons to help men to nourish their spirits and souls and to help them grow in ways they could not sitting in a church a few times per week. Our sermons are designed for the individual to imagine and comprehend Gods word thru their own real world experiences. You don’t need a building to belong. Or a pulpit to be preached to.” This is for the men who still believe— but want the Word without the walls.” Mini sermons. Soul-level truth. Every week. Straight to your phone or on the website.” This is not tradition. This is transmission.

2

THE FMO MISSION

Our mission is to inspire men to care for their spirit and soul. It’s no secret that women tend to live longer than men—and one overlooked reason is that many men neglect their spiritual well-being. FMO was created to change that. Just like we hit the gym, play sports, or stay active to keep our bodies in shape, we need to be just as intentional about our spiritual health. Most of us do some work on our mental and emotional health—but even that often takes a back seat. And when it comes to our spiritual life? Many of us do little to nothing. What we often miss is this: a strong spiritual life fuels a healthier mind, body, and emotional state—and leads to eternal rewards. Yet, these are rarely the topics of conversation when men get together. Maybe we assume our spiritual life will take care of itself. But it won’t. Just like your body needs regular workouts, your soul needs consistent care. Being active in your spiritual life isn’t optional—it’s essential.

MEN ON A MISSION

⚔️ This isn’t church as usual. I want to thank every man who responded to my first message. You showed me that there’s hunger out there—a hunger for something real, something raw, something rooted in God. I’ve launched a once-a-week text message designed for men who want truth without tradition. If church feels unfamiliar—or even uninviting—but your spirit is still seeking, this is for you

4

THE PRODIGAL

“To the Man Who's Still Searching” You may not sit in pews. You may not know the words. But your spirit knows the weight of silence, and the ache for more. This is for you. Once a week, a message. A moment of truth. Not wrapped in robes— but clothed in Scripture, stripped of pretense. Mini sermons, maximum grace. No filler. Just fire. This is not tradition. It’s a call. A lifeline. A brotherhood. If your soul still reaches for God, You’re not alone. We walk this out— together. Peace, Strength, and Vision. —Min. Harry

FMO PODCAST PRAYER FOR OUR MEN

Father God, We come before You not as perfect men, but as men in progress—wounded, weathered, and willing. In this space, strip away the masks we wear and speak to the raw places in us that long for truth, purpose, and redemption. Let this podcast be more than words. Let it be a battleground for breakthrough, a forge for faith, and a sanctuary for sons who’ve forgotten that they are the sons of the Most High God. Remind us that strength isn’t found in silence, but in surrender. That real masculinity isn’t about dominance, but about devotion. Speak through every story, every struggle, and every scripture shared here. May Your Spirit move in the margins—where men feel unseen, unheard, and unworthy—and call them back to the identity You authored before the world began. We dedicate this time to You, Lord. Make it holy. Make it healing. Make it honest. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

PROPHETIC WARNING

The fastest-growing religion in America today is not biblical Christianity—it's Christian syncretism. A blend of Christianity and culture that dilutes God’s truth and distorts His way of life. Many believe their compromise is acceptable to God, but history tells a different story. Ancient Israel made the same mistake—mixing truth with tradition—and it led to their downfall, exile, and national destruction. As America embraces similar patterns, especially under policies like Trump’s deportation agenda, we must ask: are we heading down that same path of judgment?

WHY MEN DON`T GO TO CHURCH

Men's declining church attendance is linked to several factors, including the "feminization" of church culture, a perceived lack of masculine leadership, and a focus on emotional and subjective faith over practical solutions and objective principles. Additionally, some men feel alienated by the church's environment, which may not cater to their needs or interests, and find it difficult to connect with a message that seems disconnected from their daily lives.

Here's a more detailed breakdown of Church Culture and Leadership:

1. Practical Concerns and Relevance:

  • Boredom and Irrelevance:
  • Some men find church services to be boring, repetitive, or lacking practical application to their daily lives.

  • Lengthy Services:
  • Sunday services that are too long, with excessive announcements and other unnecessary verbiage, can be a turnoff for some men.

  • Lack of Practical Solutions:
  • Some men may not find the church's solutions to life's challenges to be relevant or helpful, particularly when they are looking for practical solutions to problems they face outside of church.
  • Difficulty Connecting with the Message:
  • Some men may struggle to connect with a message that seems overly focused on feelings or personal relationships with Jesus, rather than on a broader, more transcendent cause.

2. External Factors:

  • Social Media and Other Influences:.The rise of social media and other forms of entertainment can compete with church attendance, particularly for younger men.
  • Family Dynamics:.Parents' influence in encouraging church attendance can lessen, leading to a weaker connection with faith for some young men.

3. Church's Response:

  • Addressing Men's Needs:
  • Churches can address these concerns by intentionally creating spaces and opportunities for men to connect with each other, providing male leadership, and offering practical solutions to men's challenges.

  • Relevance and Engagement:
  • Churches should strive to make their message relevant to men's lives, addressing their concerns and offering practical wisdom and guidance.
  • Balancing the Feminine and Masculine:
  • Churches can strive to balance the emphasis on emotional connection with a more objective, principle-based faith, as well as create space for both feminine and masculine expressions of faith.

Early Ministry (1988–1991):  Prophet Dixon began his ministerial service at Zion Pentecostal Church in Queens, New York, under the guidance of the late Rev. Del P. Shields. During this period, he served as an associate minister and led impactful group sessions within the “Save Our Children” Christian drug rehabilitation program. His compassion extended to his role as a group leader at the Bishop House initiative, supporting homeless individuals recovering from addiction.

Prophet Dixon was divinely called to the prophetic ministry after more than 30 years of faithful service as an associate and assistant pastor. Responding to this sacred call in 2018, he was spiritually empowered by the Holy Spirit as a fervent prayer warrior, devoted intercessor, and vigilant watchman. His mission is to safeguard the Trinity Pentecostal House of Prayer (TPTHP) and to inspire his congregation to embody and advance the cultural commission of God’s Kingdom, particularly impacting communities of color in a meaningful way.

Community Outreach (1991–1995):  Prophet Dixon partnered with Rev. Brenda Ross at Gouverneur Hospital, where they co-led spiritual support programs for the AIDS community through The AIDS Service Center in Lower Manhattan. Their ministry provided emotional healing, spiritual counsel, and unwavering encouragementTeaching & Training

(2001):  He joined Second Chance Ministries under the leadership of Rev./Apostle Harry Dawkins III. During his tenure, Prophet Dixon earned certification as a trained Bible school teacher, further equipping him for his teaching ministry.

Present Day Ministry:  Currently, Prophet Dixon continues his spiritual journey at Trinity Pentecostal House of Prayer. He served under the late Bishop J.I. Starks and now ministers under his daughter, the Rev. Brenda Starks Ross, remaining committed to prayer, guidance, and the prophetic charge placed upon his life.

Minister/Prophet Dixon has been a powerful force in youth ministry, leading initiatives that resulted in 98% of church-affiliated youth graduating from high school—and inspiring half of them to pursue and complete a college education. Today, he continues this legacy through the Church/Community Youth “Stay in School” Program, a dynamic effort to secure funding and resources that prevent dropouts due to financial hardship and lack of support.

Advocate for At-Risk Youth:  Anointed and guided by God, Prophet Dixon has served as a lifeline for families with troubled teens, intervening at critical moments to prevent incarceration. By attending court hearings and partnering with families and attorneys, he has persuaded judicial authorities to allow youth to enter the church’s rehabilitation framework. His pastoral mentorship has transformed these individuals—cultivating them into both committed Christians and contributing members of society. Astoundingly, none of the youth he supported ever returned to the judicial system.

Empowering Through Athletics (2022):  In partnership with Transit Tech High School, the New York Jets, and the New York Giants, Prophet Dixon helped launch the school’s first-ever football program. This community-driven initiative generated $14,300 in support, including generous contributions from both NFL teams ($10,000) and his own ministry ($4,300). Led by Head Coach and Vice Principal Iga Warren, the program stands as a beacon of collaboration and investment in youth development.

Men’s Empowerment Platform:  Currently, he is building a groundbreaking spiritual platform tailored for men—designed to ignite growth through bite-sized sermon messages sent via text, and an insightful newsletter hosted on his ministry’s website. A bold podcast series is also underway, poised to address the spiritual emptiness many men face, and delve into its underlying causes. This initiative is more than media—it’s a movement to awaken, reflect, and spiritually elevate.

Spiritual Health and Community Impact:  Prophet Dixon is divinely commissioned to uplift African American Christians by encouraging healthier living and stronger, more prosperous communities of color. His ministry is grounded in empowerment, healing, and transformation.

Scripture Reference: Christians today are Anointed. Through Jesus Christ, believers receive “an Anointing from the Holy One (1 john 2:20). This Anointing is not expressed in an outward ceremony but through sharing in the gift of the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:20).
At the moment of salvation, believers are indwelt by the Holy Spirit and joined to Christ, the Anointed One. As a result, we partake of His Anointing (2 Corinthians 1:21-22). According to one scholar, this Anointing “expresses the sanctifying influences of the Holy Spirit upon Christians. Who are Priests and Kings unto God” (Smith, W., “Anointing,” Smith’s Bible Dictionary, revised ed., Thomas Nelson, 2004).

PAUL`S THORNY ISSUE

PAULS THORNY ISSUE

Paul’s Thorn in the Flesh and His Heavenly Experience In 2 Corinthians 12:7–10

The Apostle Paul speaks of a mysterious affliction he calls a “thorn in the flesh.” This tormenting burden was allowed by God to keep Paul humble, especially in light of the extraordinary revelations he had received. Though Paul never specifies what the thorn was, he describes it as a “messenger of Satan” sent to harass him—possibly a physical ailment, emotional struggle, or persistent opposition. Whatever it was, it caused real pain, frustration, and didn’t go away despite Paul pleading with God three times for relief.

Why Was the Thorn Given?

The thorn served a divine purpose: “To keep Paul from becoming conceited because of the surpassingly great revelations he received…” (2 Corinthians 12:7) Paul had experienced something so profound—being caught up into heaven itself—that God allowed this thorn to keep him grounded. It was a reminder that God’s grace is sufficient, and that His power is made perfect in our weakness.

Did Paul Actually Visit Heaven or Was It a Vision?

Paul describes this experience in 2 Corinthians 12:1–4, saying he was “caught up to the third heaven” and into Paradise, where he heard inexpressible things that no one is permitted to speak. He’s unsure whether it was a physical journey or a spiritual vision: “Whether it was in the body or out of the body I do not know—God knows.” This uncertainty shows how real and overwhelming the experience was. He knew he had been in the presence of God, but couldn’t tell if it was bodily or visionary. Brothers do you know when you are in the presence of the Lord?

What Is the Third Heaven and Paradise?

In Jewish thought, the third heaven refers to the highest realm—the very dwelling place of God, far beyond the sky and stars. When Paul speaks of being caught up to the third heaven, he’s describing an encounter with the divine that transcends earthly experience. He also mentions Paradise, echoing the words of Jesus to the thief on the cross: “Today you will be with me in Paradise.” — Luke 23:43 This wasn’t a metaphor or a dream. Paul’s experience was a real, spiritual encounter with the heavenly realm—on this side of life. Too many people today are waiting until it’s too late to consider their eternal destination. But once your life ends, your story is sealed. There’s no repentance after death. No second chances. Only what you do now—on this side of eternity—matters. Yes, your life matters to God. “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” — John 3:16 So, brothers, let me ask you plainly: Is your destination Paradise?

A Humbling Encounter

In the midst of a profound revelation, Paul’s response is not pride—but humility. Rather than boasting about the extraordinary vision he received, he chooses instead to boast in his weakness. Why? Because it is in weakness that the power of Christ rests upon him. Humility is one of the greatest virtues a person can offer to the Father. Scripture tells us that God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. In other words, God’s unmerited favor flows toward those who walk in humility. The proud, by contrast, find themselves outside the reach of that grace. Notice Paul’s example: he doesn’t elevate himself because of what he saw. Instead, he takes the low road, embracing his weakness so that Christ’s strength might be made perfect in him. Brothers, choose humility. When you walk humbly, you invite God’s power to guide your decisions and shape your path. How many times have you wished a situation in your life had turned out differently? Perhaps humility would have opened the door to a better outcome.

Conclusion

Paul was never healed of the thorn in his flesh—at least, not that we know of. Yet despite this, he became the most prolific writer of the New Testament, with 17 of the 29 books attributed to him. And this, from a man who described himself as “one born out of due season”—not among the original disciples who walked with Jesus. That’s the power of humility. That’s the reach of grace.
