Here’s a mini-Christmas sermon tailored for men, drawing from the journey of the three wise men. I’ve structured it with, prophetic challenge.

Christmas Sermon for Men: “Wise Men Still Seek Him”

📖 Opening Scripture

Matthew 2:1–2“After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, The Magi, wisemen from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, ‘Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.’”

Introduction

Brothers, Christmas is not about sentiment, it is about pursuit. The wise men were not passive. They were men of action, men of vision, men who left comfort to seek the King. In a world of Herod’s—corrupt rulers, broken systems, and false kings—these men refused to bow to the counterfeit. They sought the true King.Today, I declare: wise men still seek Him. And if we are to be men of justice, restoration, and spiritual authority, we must follow their example.

Three Marks of the Wise Men’s Journey

1. They Saw the Sign•           The star was not hidden—it was visible to all. But only the wise men discerned it. (Discernment) possessing the ability to judge well, make wise decisions, and see clearly by distinguishing between truth and error, good and bad, or the real and the unreal, often involving keen insight, understanding subtle details, and assessing situations with wisdom and careful thought. It's a process of sifting information, including inner feelings, external advice, and spiritual guidance, to arrive at sound conclusions or understand deeper meanings.

•           Many men today see signs of moral collapse, family breakdown, and injustice, but few discern or answer the call of God in the midst of it.

•           APPLICATION: Men of God must sharpen their spiritual sight. Don’t ignore the signs—read the times, discern the Spirit, and recognize where God is moving and take action.

2. They Left Their Comfort

•           The Magi traveled far, risking danger, leaving wealth and status behind.•           True pursuit of Christ or any type of success requires sacrifice. Comfort is the enemy of calling.

•           APPLICATION: Brothers, we must leave behind passivity, excuses, and the false security of this world. Leadership in our homes, churches, and communities demands movement, risk, and obedience.

3. They Bowed and Gave

•           When they found Jesus, they didn’t just admire Him—they worshiped. They laid gifts at His feet: gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

•           Worship is not lip service—it is surrender. It is giving your best, your treasure, your authority, your life to help create a better community and world.

•           APPLICATION: Men today must bow before Christ, not ego. We must give Him our strength, our resources, our leadership, and our future and he will give you a better life. (I AM A WITNESS)

Prophetic Challenge

Herod represents the spirit of corruption, fear, and control. He tried to kill Jesus’ destiny before it could grow. Brothers, Herod is still alive—in systems that oppress, in addictions that enslave, in lies that rob men of identity. They want to revise and remove parts of our history to rob us of our GOD given identity…stay Woke…

But the wise men refused Herod’s orders to give up Jesus, they refused to be manipulated. They listened to God’s warning and went home another way. Men of God must resist the Herod’s of our time. We must protect the NEXT GENERATION, guard our families, and refuse to bow to false kings (TRUMP)

Call to Action

This Christmas, don’t just celebrate—Elevate

seek the Gifts of Christ in prayer and in scripture

•           Seek Christ in justice and brotherhood.

•           Seek Christ in the way you lead your family.

Wise men still seek Him. And when they find Him, they bow, they give, and they rise transformed, a new creation in Christ…

Key aspects of being a new creation:

  • Spiritual Rebirth: You are spiritually reborn, becoming a new person in God's eyes, free from the power of sin.

  • New Identity: Your identity shifts from self-centeredness to Christ-centeredness, becoming an ambassador for God.

  • Old Life Passed Away: Past sins, failures, and old habits lose their hold; they are gone, not defining you anymore.

  • New Life Begins: You gain a fresh start, empowered by the Holy Spirit to live righteously, love others, and seek God's will.

  • Transformation in Progress: It's a process of spiritual growth, not instant perfection, involving ongoing change, repentance, and learning to live like Christ.

  🙏 Closing Prayer

“Lord, raise up men like the Magi—wise men who discern the signs of the times, who leave their comfort to create comfort for others. And Lord as we bow before You Make us protectors of destiny (youth/family/wealth.)  Make us seekers of truth, and givers of our best. This Xmas, may we not be passive spectators, but active pursuers of the King of Kings.

NOTE: We call it Xmas, because the true birthday of Christ was not revealed in the Bible
